OUR TEAM IS GROWING

Junior is married to Mirjam and part of YWAM Fortaleza. Junior in the project will be ahead of our plan to work with adoption. Adoption is a very delicate subject because of all the bureaucracy and laws that can be interpreted in different ways, we want to develop support for families who want to adopt, but also for mothers who are giving these children for adoption, and we want to do so with great care and excellence, so Junior is more than welcome to our team, be happy with us!

PRINCESSES

In April we organized a camp for the sisters of the boys of the Sitio Graça. We wanted to offer a time for them to feel valued, feel like princesses ... We had an afternoon about health and beauty, we went to the beach, and studied the Bible. A great opportunity to share the truth, get to know them better and bond with them. There were six girls which facilitated the work individually. The result of this camp was eternal; the six gave their lives to Jesus. And of course this work does not end here, we’ll keep you informed!

TRAINING AND TEACHING

We as a team are always trying to train ourselves for our work with pregnant teenagers, and in May we had a great opportunity to put some of our training in practice in the post-natal care, something we were dreaming about for the adolescent mothers and their babies. Dayane, also staff of YWAM, gave birth to Gabrielle and our team took turns in caring of her and her baby. It was a very good time of feeling blessed and being a blessing. Sandra also helped 2 other girls in preparing for birth and offering post-natal care.

Melanie also gave classes in the Night school of YWAM Fortaleza about “Family”, it was also a great opportunity to multiply the principles that God has given us as a basis for our ministry.

INTERNSHIP IN THE USA

Living Alternatives is located at YWAM Tyler and works with pregnant teenagers and teenagers at risk of pregnancy for several years now. A team of Living Alternatives already came to Brazil 2 times to minister to us and pass their experiences on to us, and they have really helped us to progress our ministry. One of the words that God gave us, was that Melanie needed to know personally the work and structure of the programs over there. But this was easier said than done, because it meant many things: family, finances, ministry. But as a team we could see the hands of God in the whole process and Melanie and her family began to take steps towards the USA, which was not an easy process: they needed several documents for visa, passport, money for the visa and airfares, WOW! But thanks to God everything was miraculously provided. They spend 2 weeks of personally getting to know the ministry, making contacts, etc. And the ideas, understanding and vision she received will certainly enrich us as a team. We are all grateful to God for his faithfulness.

NEXT STEPS

We are planning to have a house to support pregnant teenagers, (similar to a crisis pregnancy center). We have many great ideas, one of them is offering free pregnancy tests to attract the teenagers. If she is pregnant will be accompanied by our team and if not she will also be monitored because this girl is probably a teenager at risk of becoming pregnant. We also have a clothing store for babies; the clothes will be an incentive for the mother to participate in the program until the end. In every activity she participates, she can receive points, which can be exchanged for baby item in our store.

PRAYERS AND NEEDS

Please pray for our team, for protection and discernment For Junior that God gives him meetings with key people to understand about adoption. For our next steps and more people to be involved and supporting this ministry Need: Construction materials and paint for the house because we need to do some reforms to the support house and adjust it to our needs of work. Pregnancy tests, Baby clothes, cots etc ... Living room furniture mainly because we want to make a nice reception for the girls to feel at home and comfortable Chairs, tables etc ... Shelves for the store of baby clothes A television and a projector to be able to show videos on pregnancy, abortion issues, etc ..And if you know a pediatrician, obstetrician and lawyer who knows about law of adoption and are open to help, share about our project.

ONS TEAM GROEIT

Junior is getrouwd met Mirjam en maakt deel uit van Jeugd met een Opdracht Fortaleza. In het project zal Junior vooral voorop gaan in de plannen die we hebben om te werken met adoptie.Adoptie is een heel ingewikkeld onderwerp vanwege de burocratie en wetten die op verschillende manieren begrepen kunnen worden, wij willen hulp ontwikkelen voor de families die graag willen adopteren, maar ook de moeders die hun kinderen aan adoptie willen afstaan. We moeten dit doen met veel precisie en wijsheid; dus Junior is meer dan welkom in ons team, wees blij met ons!!!

PRINSESSEN.

In April hebben we een kamp georganiseerd voor de zussen van de jongens die op de boerderij-Genade wonen. We wilden hen een tijd aanbieden waar ze zich gewaardeerd zouden voelen en waar ze echte princessen mochten zijn. We hadden een schoonheid- en gezondheid middag, we zijn naar het strand geweest, hebben Bijbelstudie gedaan wat een groot moment was om de waarheid met hen te delen, elkaar beter leren kennen om zo ook een diepere relatie met hen te krijgen, er waren 6 meiden wat makkelijk maakte dat we ook individuele momenten met hen hadden. Het kamp was op de boerderij-Genade, met een resultaat wat voor eeuwig zal zijn, want ze hebben alle 6 hun levens aan Jezus gegeven! Natuurlijk stopt het werken/ contact met hen hebben niet hier en we houden jullie op de hoogte!

TRAINEN EN TOERUSTEN

We proberen altijd als team onszelf te trainen voor ons werk met de zwangere tieners, en in Mei hadden we een goede mogelijkheid om kraamzorg in de praktijk te brengen. Iets waar we over dromen om dit in de toekomst ook te kunnen doen voor de tienermoeders met hun babies. Dayane een staffwerker van Jeugd met een Opdracht beviel van haar dochtertje Gabrielle en ons team wisselde de kraamzorg af. Het was een hele goede tijd waarin we gezegend zijn en we tot zegen konden zijn..

Melanie had ook de mogelijkheid om les te geven in ENVIA ( een avond school van Jeugd met een Opdracht Fortaleza) over familie: een mogelijkheid om de principes te vermenigvuldigen wat God ons heeft gegeven als basis voor de ministry.

STAGE IN AMERIKA!

Living Alternatives is een project in JmeO Tyler en werken met zwangere tieners en tieners met risico om zwanger te raken, al vele jaren..
Een team van Living Alternatives is al 2 keer hier in Brazilie geweest om hun ervaringen te delen, wat ons erg geholpen heeft om meer initiatieven te nemen als project. Één van de dingen die God tot ons sprak was dat Melanie persoonlijk hun werk en structuur met de programmas moest leren kennen, maar natuurlijk bracht dit veel met zich mee: familie, finances en het project. Maar we kunnen als team zien hoe God meewerkte zodat dit plan gerealiseerd kon worden en Melanie met haar familie deden enkele stappen in de richting van de ,USA wat niet makkelijk was vanaf het begin om documenten bij elkaar te krijgen voor visums, paspoorten en geld voor de tickets, wow!!!
Maar alle dank aan God want op een wonderlijke manier is alles gelukt. Het waren 2 weken van het persoonlijk zien en horen hoe God voor alles zorgde, sommige activiteiten van dichtbij kunnen zien, nieuwe contacten maken en het begrijpen van de visie maakt ons als project ook rijker. We zijn erg blij voor God’s trouwheid.

VOLGENDE STAPPEN
We hebben plannen om een plek/huis te hebben waar we zwangere tieners kunnen begeleiden, en we hebben vele leuke ideeen hierover, één van deze ideeen is het aanbieden van gratis zwangerschapstesten zodat we hopen dat tieners hiervoor komen en zo kunnen we contact met hen maken. Als ze zwanger blijkt te zijn zal ze door ons team begeleid worden maar ook als ze niet zwanger blijkt te zijn want dit meisje is iemand die een risico heeft om zwanger te worden. We willen ook een winkeltje met babykleren beginnen, de kleren zijn een motivatie voor de tienermoeder om het programma tot het einde vol te houden. Als voorbeeld: Als een meisje het programma afmaakt, op tijd komt etc. ontvangt ze punten en mag dan van die punten babykleertjes uitzoeken etc...We zullen ook door blijven gaan met de preventie programmas en de begeleiding van de zussen van de jongens van de boerderij Genade, het werk in Aquiraz en in Fortaleza.

GEBED EN PRAKTIJK

Alstublieft bid voor ons team, voor bescherming en wijsheid. Voor Junior dat God hem mag laten ontmoeten met de juiste personen zodat we meer zullen begrijpen over adoptie. Voor onze volgende stappen en dat meer mensen deel mogen uit maken en ons mogen helpen in dit project.
Onze noden/ dingen die we nodig hebben zijn:

• Materiaal voor constructie en verf om het huisje ,wat we willen gebruiken voor het ontvangen van de (zwangere) tienermeiden, op te knappen.
• Zwangerschapstesten, babykleren, babybedjes etc....
• Meubels zodat we ruimtes kunnen creeeren waar de meiden zich gelijk thuis voelen als ze binnen komen... Stoelen, tafels etc....
• Planken voor het babykleren-winkeltje.
• Televisie of een projector zodat we via deze middelen de meiden kunnen informeren over zwangerschap maar ook over dingen als abortus etc...
• Als je iemand kent die kinderarts, verloskundige, kraamverpleegkundige of een andere professioneel is, en open staat om ons te helpen, deel dan met hen over ons project.

  JmeO is een organisatie die geen vaste geldinkomsten heeft en functioneerd uitsluitend door donaties. Alle projecten worden in stand gehouden door donaties en de vrijwilligers binnen JmeO zijn verantwoordelijk voor hun eigen donaties. Nossa equipe está crescendo.

Júnior é casado com Mirjam e parte de Jocum Fortaleza. No projeto Júnior vai estar a frente do nosso plano de trabalho com adoção. Adoção é um assunto muito delicado por cauda das burocracias e leis que podem ser interpretadas de maneiras diferentes, queremos desenvolver apoio as famílias que querem adotar, mas também as mães que estão dando esses filhos para adoção, e precisamos fazer isso com muita excelência e prudência, estão Junior está muito mais que bem vindo a nossa equipe, se alegrem conosco!

Atividades de Abril a Julho

Em Abril organizamos um acampamento para as irmãs dos meninos do sitio graça. Queríamos oferecer a elas um tempo em que se sentissem valorizadas, se sentissem princesas...

Tivemos uma tarde de saúde e beleza, fomos a praia, estudamos a bíblia... Uma grande oportunidade de compartilhar a verdade, conhecer as historias e formar vínculos, eram 6 meninas o que facilitou o trabalho individual. O acampamento aconteceu no Sitio Graça e o resultado foi eterno, as 6 entregaram suas vidas pra Jesus. E é claro esse trabalho não acaba por aqui, vamos deixa-los informados.

Treinando e capacitando

Sempre estamos como equipe tentando nos equipar para nosso trabalho com adolescentes grávidas, e em Maio tivemos uma grande oportunidade de vivenciar na pratica o cuidado pós-natal que sonhamos em ter com as mães adolescentes e seu bebe. Dayane uma obreira de Jocum missões Urbanas deu a Luz a Gabrielle e nossa equipe se revezou nos cuidados. Foi um tempo muito bom em que podemos sentir abençoadas e sermos bênção. Eu (Sandra) acompanhei outras duas gestantes, Cris e Carine.

Também Melanie deu aula no Envia (escola Noturna de Jocum Fortaleza) sobre Família uma oportunidade de multiplicar os princípios que Deus tem nos dado como base para o ministério.

Ainda falando sobre capacitação

Living Alternatives fica em Jocum Tyler e trabalha com adolescentes gravidas, e adolescentes em risco de gravidez já a vários anos.

A equipe de Living Alternatives estiveram em Fortaleza 2 vezes ministrando e repassando suas experiências, o que nos fizeram avançar muito em nossas iniciativas. Uma das palavras que Deus nos deu é que Melanie precisava conhecer pessoalmente esse trabalho e a estrutura montada com os programas, mas, claro isso implicava em muitas coisas como: família, finanças ministério. E podemos como equipe ver as mãos de Deus para que esse plano desse certo. Melanie e sua família começaram dar os passos em rumo ao USA que não é em nenhuma forma um processo fácil desde juntar documentos para o visto, passaporte, dinheiro para o visto e as passagens, UFA!!!

Mas Graças a Deus tudo foi milagrosamente providenciado. Foram 2 semanas conhecendo a historia pessoalmente, vendo como Deus providenciou todas as coisas, acompanhando alguns trabalhos de perto, fazendo contatos, e entendendo a visão que certamente vai nos enriquecer. Somos todos gratos a Deus por sua fidelidade.

Próximos passos:

Estamos planejando ter uma casa de apoio a adolescentes grávidas, na qual o nome já diz tudo, temos muitas ideias otimas, uma delas é oferecer testes de gravidez de graça para atrair as adolescentes. Se ela estiver grávida será acompanhada por nossa equipe e se não também será acompanhada, porque essa menina é uma provável adolescente em risco de engravidar. Também teremos uma loja de roupas de bebes, as roupas serão um incentivo para a mãe fazer o programa até o fim. Por exemplo: Se uma menina está no programa e cumpre os horários recebe ponto que serão trocados por roupas,etc...
Continuaremos com o programa de prevenção e acompanhamento das meninas que são irmãs dos meninos do Sitio Graça. Continuaremos ainda com os trabalhos nas comunidades, Oitão Preto (Fortaleza) e Chacara da Prainha (Aquiraz).

Televisão ou data show para atividades teóricas com as meninas.(exemplo de gestação, assuntos sobre aborto,etc...)

E se você conhece uma pediatra, obstetra e advogado que conheça bem sobre lei de adoção e estão abertos para ajudar, compartilhe sobre nosso projeto.

February/March Update

We´re very excited with what God is doing in our ministry. We´re growing every day with new ideas, more vision and more love for the girls we´re working with!

At this moment we have 2 prevention groups running. One at our own YWAM base. The base is localized in a big community. The project “Força Viva” of the base attends the boys of the community with a soccer school. But there were no specific activities for the girls. Last year, Mirjam & Josy started to meet with some girls to get to know them better, and this year they started a prevention group with them. We also have some teenagers of the base participating in this group. They´re liking it a lot and are already asking to continue the meetings.

Another prevention group is happening at project “Mission Possible” in a community in Aquiraz. The students of the DTS are doing the classes with about 7 teenagers during their weekly community outreach.

In the beginning of this month it was the International Day of Women, an we had the idea of bringing a little bit of care of God to the women who may have never known real love in their lives. During a base service we held an offering and with this money we were able to buy 110 roses which we took to an area where we work, a beautiful square in the centre of Fortaleza, known to be an area of prostitution. The dance group of project Shine presented a dance and than we split up in couples to give out the roses to the women on the square, in the motels, bars and brothels surrounding the square. We also had a time of prayer and worship, and a the DTS students presented a drama as well. Over a 100 women on this day received the message that God loves them!

We have more good news! The 2 pregnant girls we worked with in the community Oitão Preto have had their babies! D*** of 15 years old gave birth to a daughter, please pray for her as this is her second child already, and her family situation is very complicated. Also B*** gave birth on the 28th of February to a son named Gabriel. It was amazing to be able to show how God answers our prayers, as when we had a class with her about birth, we had prayed that she would have an easy birth, without a lot of pain that all would go well as she was very scared, and this was exactly what happened even the doctor was impressed by her! God is so good to us!!!!

Also we´d like to ask you to pray for G***, she´s 18 years old and has 2 children. At the beginning of this month when we were going into the community of Oitão PReto, she grabbed me by my arm and in great despair she took me down the stairs to a dark, dirty and humid, asking me if I knew how to pray. In a hammock that was there was her 1 year old son, with a very high fever. We prayed for both of them. Her situation is very complicated as well, and project Shine is trying to find the right way to help her.

We also want to tell a little about a course we are doing with 5 girls. As you might know, YWAM Fortaleza also has a project that works with street kids. Right now in this ministry live 4 boys who have left the streets already a long time ago and are studying, working etc. All these boys come from very needy families (otherwise they wouldn´t have chosen go to the streets), and that´s why they also work with their families. They have asked us to help out with the sisters of the boys. We´ve already organized a special day for girls 3 times, with games, arts and teaching. But we wanted to offer something more, as some of them have to go to the traffic lights asking money to have food in the house. That´s when the idea came of of a course in decorating flip-flops. In 4 courses the girls are being taught ho to transform simple and cheap flip-flops into very nice looking sandals. If you would like to help these girls, contact us and buy a pair of sandals, or help them buy materials!

The project would really like to start a pregnancy crisis centre here in Aquiraz, where we would like to offer free pregnancy tests, counseling, teachings, bible studies, arts etc. But to be able to do that we really need some partners, partners in prayer and also financial partners. Maybe you would like to pray how you could help our ministry?

Estamos muito empolgados com o que Deus está fazendo no nosso ministério, estamos crescendo a cada dia com novas idéias, mais visão e mais amor para com as meninas com quem nós trabalhamos!

No momento estão acontecendo 2 grupos de prevenção. Um na nossa base de JOCUM mesmo. A base está localizado numa comunidade carente grande. O projeto Força Viva da base atende os meninos da comunidade com a escola de futebol. Mas ainda não existia muito trabalho com as meninas. No ano passado Josi e Mirjam começaram se reunir com algumas meninas para conhecer elas melhor, e este ano começaram o programa de prevenção com elas. Tem também alguns adolescentes da própria base participando, elas estão tão entusiasmadas que já pediram para continuar as reuniões.

Outro grupo de prevenção estamos fazendo no projeto Missão Possível na comunidade Chacara de Prainha em Aquiraz. Os alunos da eted estão fazendo as aulas com mais ou menos 7 adolescentes!


No inicio deste mês foi o dia internacional das mulheres, e nós tivemos a idéias de levar o carinho de Deus para as mulheres que talvez nunca na vida conheceram o amor verdadeiro. Levantamos uma oferta durante um culto na base e conseguimos comprar 110 rosas que levamos para uma area onde fazemos as vezes abordagem, no Passeio Publico de Fortaleza, conhecido por ser uma area de prostituição. O grupo de dança de projeto Shine apresentou uma dança, e depois dividimos em duplas para dar as rosas para as mulheres na praça, nos boates e bordeis ao redor da praça. Teve também um tempo de louvor e oração e apresentação de teatro pelos alunos da ETED. Mais de 100 mulheres receberam este dia a mensagem que Deus as ama!

Temos mais noticias boas! As duas meninas grávidas que nós acompanhamos na comunidade Oitão Preto tiverem o seu bebe! D*** de 15 anos deu a luz a uma filha, por favor ore pore la, a situação dela é muito complicada, esta já é segundo filho dela e a família é bem carente. Também a B*** deu a luz no dia 28 de Fevereiro a um filho Gabriel. Como foi bom poder mostrar para ela que Deus realmente ouve as nossa orações, pois durante a nossa aula sobre o parto oramos que ela ia ter um parto rapido e facil sem muita dor e foi exatamente o que aconteceu, Deus é bom demais!

Queremos pedir também suas orações pela vida de G***, ela tem 18 anos e tem 2 filhos. No inicio deste mês quando estavamos subindo a comunidade Oitão Preto ela me agarrou pelo braço e desesperadamente ela me levou descendo as escadas a um lugar escuro, humido e sujo, me perguntando se eu sabia como orar. Na rede que estava pendurada alí estava o filho dela de 1 ano, com muita febre. Oramos pore le e pore la. A situação dela está muito complicada também e o projeto Shine está olhando como pode ajudar ela.

Também queremos contar um pouco sobre um curso que estamos fazendo com 5 meninas. Como vocês talvez sabem, JOCUM Fortaleza tem um projeto também que trabalha com meninos que vivem nas ruas. No sitio Graça moram atualmente 4 meninos, que sairam das ruas, que estão estudando, trabalhando etc. Todos estes meninos vem de família bem carentes (se não não teriam ido para as ruas…), e o ministério Casa de Meu Pai sempre está trabalhando também com as famílias dos meninos. Eles nós pediram para fazer uma parceria para fazer algo para as irmãs dos meninos. Já 3 vezes organizamos um dia para as meninas com brincadeiras, dinamicas, palavras e artesanato. Mas a gente queria oferecer algo mais, já que algumas delas tem que pedir dinheiro nos semafaro para poder ter comida dentro de casa. Foi assim que surgiu a idéia de um curso profisionalizante de customização de chinelos. Em 4 aulas elas estão aprendendo a transformar chinelos simples em sandálias bem chiques!!! Se você quiser ajudar as meninas, enter em contato e compra um par de sandálias feitos por elas!

O projeto quer muito criar um centro de atendimento a adolescents gravidas em Aquiraz que irá oferecer acompanhamento da gravidez, palestras, testes de gravidez gratuitos, artesanato etc. Mas para isto precisamos de parceiros, parceiros em oração e parceiros financeiros também. Talvez você pode orar como poderia ajudar a gente?

happy 2009 and training 2009!!!!

A little late but westill want to wish you a very happy newyear! As a ministry we’re looking back at the last year as a year full of new things and conquers.



2008 was the year in which our ministry officially became a project within the YWAM base of Fortaleza. We have been focalizing mainly on the prevention work and dozens of teenagers have been reached last year and heard about the purpose God has for their lifes! Also at the end of last year we started the counselling of 2 young pregnant girls in the community Oitão Preto.



This year God has blessed us not only with the financial provision for us to do the work but also with volunteers who helped us. We have started the new year in a very good way with a week of training with a team of 3 teachers from the United States who have years of experience working with pregnant teenagers, adoption etc. It was an amazing week and we received a lot of encouragement, ideas, vision and dreams not only for our own ministry but also for others!

BEVERLY KLINE

Beverly Kline is the Founding Director of Living Alternatives. (www.livalt.org) Bev joined YWAM in 1979 in Solvang, California. After her YWAM training she worked on staff with three DTS's. She then gave oversight to a work/study program with YWAM Tyler. In 1982 she met a young woman who was pregnant and unmarried. In the early stages of ministering to this young woman, Bev discovered the well-laid plans of the abortion industry to lure women into the abortion clinics of America. It was soon obvious God's call on Bev's life as she began ministering to women and combating the assaults of the abortion clinic on unborn life. From simple humble beginnings of offering free pregnancy test from her home, the ministry has grown to become a multi-faced ministry that extends the opportunity for spiritual life to women as they choose life for their unborn babies.

Bev's personal experience with abortion, combined with her ministry to hurting women over the years led her to formulate what she terms a “pro-value” position. Pro-value affirms value for each person involved in an unplanned pregnancy, just as God values each as a unique bearer of His Own Image. The mother, father, and the extended family members on both sides deserve compassion and guidance as they process the conflicting emotions surrounding the circumstances of an unplanned pregnancy and birth of the child.

Bev's journey and her path to wholeness through the loving, forgiving power of Jesus Christ and the resulting ministry of Living Alternatives is both inspirational and educational. Today under the covering of YWAM Tyler, Living Alternatives includes 5 operating locations, which meet young women with a multifaceted approach. Fatherheart Maternity Home is licensed by the State of Texas for 20 residents and includes the School of New Beginnings (a pre-DTS format); an on-site state sanctioned high-school; life-skills programs and personal discipleship. Loving Alternative Adoption Agency offices in town, 25 miles away from the maternity home, and serves the community with Christ-centered adoption options for mothers and their babies. The Pregnancy Resource Center and our Building Blocks program also operate in town. The PRC reaches women at their moment of crisis when they discover their pregnancy; and the Building Blocks program next door continues to support their life choice with parenting programs and discipleship throughout the first year of the baby's life. Living Alternatives also includes an extension in Alamogordo, New Mexico where we operate a Pregnancy Help Center that is primarily funded through a Thrift Store Ministry to the community.

Bev's 30 year of YWAM ministry has taken her to 28 nations where she has ministered, taught and inspired others to carry the message of spiritual life for young women as they are supported in the choice of life for their unborn babies. Bev's teaching ministry is grounded in Biblical foundational principles upon which others can build a ministry to reach their nation with the pro-life gospel of Jesus Christ.

AIMEE KROL

Aimee Krol has been married ten years to Matthew and has two children, Josiah , 10years old, and Sarah,6 years old. She has been with YWAM Tyler for 15 years serving as a mobile team leader for 7 years and in our discipleship training school for teens, SST. She has been with Living Alternatives for 5 years serving at the Pregnancy Resource Center and then becoming director of our Building Blocks program.

Building Blocks is an extension of our Pregnancy Resource Center that ministers to unwed mothers in our community. The girls earn points toward baby items that they would need by learning parenting and life skills. The girls stay in the program from six months pregnant till the baby’s first birthday and meet with a counselor every two weeks. Through this program we are able to break the cycle of abuse, neglect and promiscuity among the girls and most importantly share the love of Jesus with them through friendship.

JEANNINE FLOORES

Jeannine Floores has been involved in maternity ministry since 1990 when she began the work of planting her first maternity home in southern California, "Sarah's House." She was ordained by the Christian Church into ministry in 1992 and continued her work in fulltime church and maternity ministry. She moved to Austin, TX in 1996 with her husband Brian, and two young sons where God continued to use her there to plant a second ministry, "Breath of Life Maternity Ministries." Branches of Breath of Life include a maternity home, an aftercare program, a concert support ministry, a national and international maternity home networking ministry, a birthmom community support ministry and soon to be “Loving Hearts Christian Adoption Agency.”

Um pouco tarde mas ainda queremos desejar a vocês um feliz ano novo! Como ministério podemos olhar para o ano passado como um ano cheio de conquistas e coisas novas.

2008 foi o ano em que o ministério teve seu início oficial como projeto de base de JOCUM Fortaleza. Neste ano nos focalizamos mais no trabalho de prevenção e dezenas de adolescentes foram alcançados e ouviram sobre o propósito de Deus para sua vida! No final do ano passado começamos também com o acompanhamento de 2 meninas grávidas na comunidade Oitão Preto.

Em 2008 Deus tem nos abençoado com toda providência financeira para podermos fazer o nosso trabalho, e também com voluntários para nos ajudar, e já começamos este novo ano muito bem com uma semana de treinamento por uma equipe de 3 professoras dos Estados Unidos que tem muitos anos de experiência com adolescentes grávidas, adoção etc. Foi uma semana muito boa em que recebemos muitas encorajamento, idéias, muita visão e muitos sonhos para o futuro de nosso próprio ministério mas também para os outros!!!

BEVERLY KLINE

Beverly Kline é a diretora fundadora de Living Alternatives (http://www.livalt.org/). Bev se juntou a JOCUM em 1979 em Solvang, California. Depois da ETED, ela trabalhou como obreira em 3 ETED´s. Depois ela supervisionou um trabalho/estudo em JOCUM, Tyler. Em 1982 ela encontrou uma mulher jovem que não era casada e gravida. Quando ela começou a ministrar esta jovem mulher, Bev. descobriu os planos bem elaborados da indústria de aborto para atrair mulheres até as clinicas de aborto dos Estados Unidos. Muito rápido o chamado de Deus sobre a vida dela ficou bem claro, pois ela começou a ministrar a mulheres e combatendo as agressões para a vida pré-natal nas clinicas de aborto . Ela começou simplesmente distribuindo testes de gravidez gratuitamente da casa dela, e hoje cresceu em um ministério diversificado que oferece a oportunidade de vida espiritual para mulheres que escolhem vida para os seus filhos ainda não nascidos.

No passar do tempo, com experiência pessoal de Bev com aborto, em combinação do ministério dela para mulheres machucadas, fez formular o que ela chama de uma posição “pro-valor”. O pro-valor afirma o valor de cada pessoa envolvida em uma gravidez não planejada, assim como Deus valoriza como portador único de Sua imagem. A mãe, o pai, e a família estendida de ambos os lados merecem compaixão e diretrizes enquanto eles processam as emoções conflitantes em relação a gravidez não planejada e o nascimento de uma criança.

A historia de Bev, e o caminho dela para um vida plena através do poder de amor e perdão de Jesus Cristo e o resultante ministério de Living Alternatives serve tanto como educação e como inspiração. Hoje, sobre a liderança de Tyler Texas, Living Alternatives está operando em 5 localidades, que todos alcançam mulheres jovens como uma abordagem múltipla. O lar Maternidade Fatherheart tem licença do Estado de Texas para 20 meninas residentes e inclui a escola New Beginnings (format pre-ETED); um colégio estadual na sede; programas de habilidades de vida e discipulado pessoal. A agência de adoção “Loving Alternative”, serve a comunidade com opções de adoção cristão para mães e seus filhos. Também tem o centro de recursos e gravidez e a programa de incentivos “Building Blocks”. O centro alcança mulheres no seu momento de crise quando elas decubram a sua gravidez. O programa Building Blocks fica bem do lado e continua o trabalho apoiando as meninas de sua escolha para vida com programas que preparam para ser pais programas de discipulado durante o primeiro ano de vida do bebe. Living Alternatives também inclui ema extensão em Alamogordo, New Mexico onde opera um centro de apoio de gravidez que foi principalmente fundado por um ministério na comunidade (Thrift Store Ministry).

AIMEE KROL

Aimee Krol é casada há 12 anos com Matthew e tem 2 filhos, Josiah de 10 anos e Sarah, 6 anos. Ela está com JOCUM Tyler há 15 anos servindo como líder de equipes móveis por 5 anos e ela trabalhou com SST (escola de discipulado e treinamento para adolescentes). Ela está trabalhando com “Living Alternatives” há 5 anos servindo no Centro de Recursos da Gestante e agora ela é a diretora do programa “Building Blocks”.

“Building Blocks” é uma extensão do Centro de Recursos da Gestante que ministra mães solteiras da comunidade. As meninas ganham pontos valendo itens para bebê aprendendo sobre maternidade e vida. As meninas participam do programa a partir do 6o mês de gravidez até o primeiro aniversário do bebê e eles encontram com um conselheiro a cada 15 dias. Através deste programa podemos quebrar o

ciclo de abuso, abandono e promiscuidade entre as meninas e mais importante podemos compartilhar o amor de Jesus através de amizades.

JEANNINE FLOORES

Jeannine Floores está envolvida no ministério de maternidade desde 1990 quando ela começou o trabalho de implantar a primeira casa lar maternidade no sul de Califórnia “A casa de Sarah”. Ela foi ordenada pela Igreja Cristã para o ministério em 1992 e ela continuou o trabalho dela de tempo integral na igreja e ministério de lar maternidade. Em 1992 ela mudou com o marido Brian e dois filhos novos, para Austin, Texas, onde Deus continuou usando ela para implantar um segundo ministério "Breath of Life Maternity Ministries." (Ministério de Maternidade Folego de Vida). Este ministério inclui um lar maternidade, um programa de pós-cuidados, um ministério de rede de lar maternidades nacional e internacional, um ministério de apoio ao novo mãe, e em breve a agência cristão de Adoção “Loving Hearts”
